Full residential rate: £66.50 per night

Tuition for Harper Adams veterinary pharmacy programmes; where the content is relevant the sessions are open to SQPs as useful CPD.

It is important to note that these sessions are aimed at relevant SQP categories; while there are no restrictions on attendance of sessions, we recommend SQPs only attend sessions which are relevant to their currently held qualifications. CPD points will not be awarded for attendance if you do not hold the correct, relevant qualification.

Zoonotic Infection Associated With Food

Accredited with 12 CPD points – suitable for all SQP categories

Intended learning outcome for the session:

  • Recognise opportunities to intervene proactively in the pharmacy or veterinary practice environment to ensure pet owners are aware of their responsibilities both to their animal and to the public at large.
  • Explain the potential dangers of, and risks from, contaminated food.

Companion Animal Parasitology (including drug categories and legislation)

Accredited with 24 CPD points – suitable for C-SQP, E-SQP, K-SQP & R-SQP

Intended learning outcome for the session:

  • Appreciate the potential health problems for a range of the most popular pets and relate to common presenting signs.
  • Identify the specific parasitic diseases of companion animals and realise the suitable prophylactic and treatment options within your category of registration.
  • Assist clients appropriately in response to requests for a medicine or dressing.
  • Recognise conditions or scenarios that fall without your competence or legal jurisdiction and refer as necessary.

Strategic Worming Plans for Horses

Accredited with 12 CPD points – suitable for E-SQP, G-SQP, J-SQP & R-SQP

Intended learning outcome for the session:

  • Identify the specific parasitic conditions of horses and recommend suitable prophylactic and treatment options within your category of registration.
  • Recognise conditions or scenarios that fall without your competence or legal jurisdiction and refer as necessary.

Equine Nutrition

Accredited with 10 CPD points – E-SQP, G-SQP, J-SQP & R-SQP

Intended learning outcome for the session:

  • Recognise conditions or scenarios that fall without your competence or legal jurisdiction and refer as necessary.
  • Specify the major common diseases affecting horses and available treatments.
  • Recommend suitable measures or appropriate products to maintain equine health.
