The CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing will benefit anyone working in a manufacturing setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. It is relevant to all food processing operations, for example fresh food processing, convenience food manufacturing, canning and bottling, temperature- and atmosphere-controlled processing and packaging.

Everyone who works in food manufacturing has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensuring that the food they produce is safe to eat. This qualification underlines the importance of food safety and provides candidates with an understanding

Training programme overview

Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable candidates to understand:

  • Their personal responsibility for food safety
  • The importance of keeping themselves clean and hygienic
  • How working areas are kept clean and hygienic
  • The importance of keeping food safe.

Venue

This will be run at the Harper Adams Regional Food Academy, however it can be run at a venue and date of your choice if required.
