If we wish to minimise the damage to wild places but still provide food, shelter and recreational space then it will be necessary to increase the efficiency of food production, the quality of the build environment and lessen the impact on the environment of recreational activities.

The Rough Terrain Engineering industry provides the vehicles and equipment to increase the efficiency of agriculture and improve the infrastructure.

The Engineering Department at Harper Adams exists to teach and research in the area of engineering and especially agricultural engineering.
