The HOB Goblins (Harper Old Boys) rugby team was officially formed in 2000 with the first game against the Harper Adams 1st XV. The annual HOB Goblins fixture with rugby, football, netball and hockey matches for recent graduates against current students and a social evening in the Bar is now a regular fixture on the SU calendar, usually early in March.
If you are interested in organising or playing for a HOB Goblins team please contact the Alumni Office and we will put you in touch with the SU organisers.
Harper Adams in Ireland
Harper Adams in Ireland serves our alumni in Ireland . The purpose of the association is to support present students during their course and past students during their careers. It awards a number of student scholarships and prizes and has close links with the Harper Ireland society for current students. Social life is not neglected, with the association’s dinner held biennially in Ireland . The association is a registered charity.
Harper Adams Club members living in or originating from Wales are automatically eligible for membership of Harper Cymry, our Welsh alumni association. The role of the association is predominantly social, with a number of dinners under our belts and annual receptions at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show. The Harper Cymry student award is presented annually in conjunction with the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society to promote excellence amongst our students whilst celebrating their Welsh connections. There is also a Harper Cymru SU society for current students.
